Where did this customer request come from?

You have a published profile on Hometown Dumpster Rental and a customer in your service area requested an availability check.


Why is the customer requesting my availability?

Availability requests are useful for customers that need a dumpster soon (i.e. tomorrow) and would like you to know your pricing and availability. These requests are also used when a customer has already booked a dumpster on Hometown with another service provider but the booking request was declined by that service provider due to a lack of availability.


How do availability requests work?

Answer a couple of questions about what you can deliver for this customer and at what price/terms. Hometown sends an sms text and email to the customer with your response, inviting them to book when ready.


Is there a cost for me to submit my availability to this customer?

No, there's no cost to for the service provider. If the customer chooses to book online, a small service fee of 1 - 5% is paid by the customer.


What happens if a customer books my quote online?

Hometown asks you to accept or decline the job. Once you accept, you have a new customer! Hometown collects payment from the customer and instantly sends you all the customer and job details so you can add it to your schedule.


What is my net payment from a job booked online?

You're net payment from Hometown is your full quoted price less standard online card processing fees (3%).


How long does it take for Hometown to pay me for the job?

Payment is released for transfer to your bank the day after delivery and arrives 2-3 days later. You're very first payment takes a little longer due to initial setup.


What if the customer books online but I'm no longer available?

When a customer books online, Hometown sends you a booking request that you can accept or decline. Simply decline jobs that you're not available for.


What if I don't want my quote to be booked online?

You can unselect "allow online booking of this quote" before submitting. This will require the customer to call you to book. Keep in mind, most customers want the convenience to book online. Making it more difficult to book your company greatly increases the likelihood that the customer chooses a different company.


Can I collect from the customer for additional time or additional weight?

Yes. Just add the charge to the invoice in Bookable and select the "Pay" button. Payment is collected immediately and the customer is sent a receipt automatically. You'll receive the additional transfer of funds from Hometown in a few days. If you prefer, you can collect for additional time and weight charges via your normal billing system instead of via Bookable.

How do I get setup for automatic online booking from my Hometown profile?

Go to app.bookable.com, select “First time login” and use your email to get verified and log in. Then just follow the easy step-by-step onboarding process to add your prices and terms.
