How are leads distributed?

Customers who visit the Hometown pages have a couple ways to reach the contractors in their area. 

  1. LIVE phone calls:  All Hometown partners have their company phone number listed on their profile. Customers can click to call from a mobile device or dial the company number. Both resulting in a LIVE phone call to the contractor.

  2. Customer quote requests:  If a customer selects your company, you always get the lead and you get the first opportunity to respond. If you decline or fail to respond quickly, the lead will be sent to another qualified service provider and that service provider is given the same opportunity. 

The customer has the option to request up to 3 quotes. We try to reach the customers request (1, 2, or 3) requests. Once the desired number of quote requests is met, the quote expires. We believe this is in the best interest of the contractors, like yourself, to reduce competition. 

Service providers eligible to receive a customer’s quote request are ordered based on Promotion tier and monthly leads budget. The promotion tiers are Silver, Gold and Platinum. Platinum partners receive earlier access to the lead and if it is ignored or declined, the lead is sent to Gold then Silver partners until the customer quote request target is met.
